About Cheri Amour

Like many of you, I didn't start out as an expert in special education law. I started as a parent who was confused, overwhelmed, and worried about my child's future.

I remember sitting in my first IEP meeting, surrounded by professionals using acronyms I didn't understand, feeling like I was just there to sign papers. I knew my child needed more, but I didn't know how to ask for it.

That feeling of powerlessness sparked a fire in me. I dove into the research, learned the laws, and discovered that as parents, we are not just members of the IEP team—we are its most important leaders.

Now, I've made it my mission to help other parents find their voice. I want you to walk into every meeting with your head held high, armed with the knowledge and confidence to get your child the education they deserve.
